MCP cohort tools

Cohort tools are available in colabhive-mcp 0.3.0 and later.

Install the published release:

python -m pip install colabhive-mcp==0.3.4

PyPI wheel SHA-256: a1d1712d11c18bc1903395d4ac66f2df33cc05327a15be6c6683473621fa6537.

Cohort tools are hidden and uncallable unless both the local COLABHIVE_MCP_COHORT_TOOLS_ENABLED=true flag and the Builder capability admit them. The same gate is applied at discovery and direct call-by-name. Restrictive Builder keys require inference:execute.

The stable tool names are:

  • cohort_capabilities
  • plan_cohort
  • run_cohort (accepts idempotency_key)
  • get_cohort
  • explain_cohort
  • cancel_cohort

All are kind=operation; read-only/destructive/idempotent annotations and side effects are explicit. The namespaced _meta["com.colabhive/cohort"] block exposes stability, side effects, billing behavior, request/asynchronous latency and the applicable latency/cost budget fields. Discovery is tenant-capability gated; plan_cohort and run_cohort additionally preflight any explicit endpoint_id against its effective rollout, health and compatibility before issuing a POST. Intermediate tensors are never MCP content. The stdio and hosted transports follow the same official-SDK/Inspector conformance contract.
